J Frisch-Wang is an American-born, Berlin-based 1st Assistant Director. She began her AD career in 2020 while earning her bachelor’s degree in film production. After graduating, she served as the 1st AD on Geister, an rbb-funded feature film, before transitioning into commercials and music videos.

Since then, J has worked with brands like Porsche, Hugo Boss, Jameson, and Bumble, as well as talents such as Suki Waterhouse, Palina Rojinski, and Florence Kasumba. At the heart of her work is a commitment to fostering safe, positive, and ethical sets— she believes that with clear communication and a collaborative spirit, anything is possible.
